Wild peonies and baby oak trees
Shooting stars and fire scars
Wild rye and an eye full of sky
WEDNESDAY
We share thoughts, memories and jokes. Sometimes we share food, or a common attitude. Pat brought sandwiches to share with the Sky Valley Volunteers, a support group for Quercus agrifolia. Our bark is tough, but those sandwiches nearly bring us to tears.
THURSDAY
We found Shooting Stars as the sun was rising. We found Chocolate Lilies in time for Easter. Sharon made individual Banana Breads for the early morning hikers. Our quest was to make contact with familiar flower faces.
Painted Ladies in the thousands whipped the winds through Malibu Canyon. The hills were as generous as our hiking companion.
